You've got a lot of materials with you but you still want to explore the rest of the treehouse. Nothing stands out as important enough for the door to be stuck shut. Then you see it. A box covered in dust, with cobwebs streaming off of it. You gather your brush and hack a couple pieces of wood from a plank. The machete helps you create enough sparks from the rocks to catch the brush ablaze. You sit underneath your leaf roof, chewing on mussels, thinking of a plan to get off this island. In doing so, something catches your leg, and you fall face first into the ground. As it grows louder, your fear grows with it. You ignore it at first, but then you see it everywhere. You start to gulp down as much as you can, it's been roughly two days without true fresh water. Remembering your canteen, you pull that out to fill as well. Eventually you pull yourself out, back onto the smooth ground of the cave, trying to find whatever you tripped over. Figuring it might just have been a rock, you start to walk back when you hit it again. This time you can hear the clang of metal against the rock clearly. Standing back up, you grab the metal and start to traverse back to the mouth of the cave.
